Scarves

Tank: New York & Co.
Sweater: Banana Republic
Jeans: White House Black Market
Shoes: Target
Scarf: Gap
Necklace: Eddie Bauer

A few years ago I bought a whole bunch of these skinny scarves at the Gap. I tried wearing them in my hair but they always slipped out. For some reason I kept them even though I tend to get rid of things prematurely and I think they look good worn as a belt. I love the way the wedges look, too. I got them for under $8 after Christmas. The funny thing is that I still see them at Target for regular price, which makes me think there must have been some lucky mix up. Lucky because they are terribly uncomfortable and not worth more then I paid. The jeans however, are my favorite in the whole world. They have 26% lycra and are wonderfully comfortable and slimming.

Forgotten

Sweater: Martin + Osa
Pants: Kohls
Shoes: Nine West

Here's proof that I took a few pictures while I was on my break (can you take a break from sporadic blogging?). I got this sweater from the short-lived Martin + Osa. American Eagle's attempt at a "Banana Republic" type store. When they first opened they had free shipping and returns, which later changed. I guess it was a sign that they were dying. According to Wikipedia they closed with a loss of 44 million... now there's a useless fact. All I know is, when I was this thing it loses a ton of dye, so naturally I wash it as little as possible.

Home Made is Best

I grew up eating wonderful homemade food every day. Honestly, I had no idea how lucky I was, my mom is a true super-mom. For example, she made bread without a bread maker, also she had 7 children. Normally I take short cuts when cooking for my husband and I, but not this day (which of course is not actually today... I couldn't do much typing after all that food).

I followed Assorted Amelia's recipe for Vegetarian Enchiladas with home-made salsa and guacamole. It turned out pretty good, but maybe that's because it took me a couple hours to make it. I was pretty hungry!

I'm pretty proud of this meal, I even made the tortillas! I blended the salsa because I didn't realize that it could have worked like a pico... the silly part is that I spent so much time cutting everything and then ended up blending it anyway.

You can find this yummy recipe here. Thank you for the recipe Amelia!
